EXPERIENCE

Over the last several years, I’ve developed my writing and editing skills in full-time positions within the climate and environmental field. Below is some more detail about my experience, with a couple highlights thrown in.

WORLD RESOURCES INSTITUTE

As Communications Associate at World Resources Institute, I write and edit messaging, talking points, press releases, blogs, video scripts, podcast scripts, opinion pieces, and other related work for Global Commission on Adaptation. In this role, I also manage the adaptation social media accounts and the monthly adaptation newsletter.

EARTH DAY NETWORK

As Writer & Communications Manager at Earth Day Network, an environmental nonprofit, I managed, curated, and wrote all content for the organization’s News and Stories section. This responsibility included writing, editing and pitching timely news stories, drafting headlines, establishing relationships with experts, and quickly turning around pieces.

PLANET DAYS

Shortly into the pandemic, my friend Sam and I started an environmental blog called Planet Days. In addition to sending a weekly newsletter, we write brief, clear, and accessible posts that keep readers up to speed with the latest environmental news.

UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI

At the University of Cincinnati, I worked as the Digital Content Specialist for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. There I covered the latest studies and research, curated all content for weekly engineering newsletters, and translated scientific and technical research for general audiences.
